KeepSolid's flagship VPN, sold worldwide in many languages

VPN Unlimited is the main product of KeepSolid, and the about page tells its story in some detail. It launched on iOS in November 2013 with two servers, in the US and the Netherlands, and the company says it became KeepSolid's flagship product within a year. The VPN is also part of MonoDefense, a KeepSolid bundle launched in 2020 that the footer lists alongside SmartDNS, a DNS Firewall, the Passwarden password manager and an authenticator app. So the VPN can be bought on its own or inside a wider suite.

On who can buy it, the site does not limit its market. The homepage says the service was built for users "Worldwide", and every page offers a language switcher with English, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Persian, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, Swedish, Turkish, Finnish, Norwegian, Korean and Indonesian. Prices on the homepage are shown in US dollars. Apps are listed for macOS, Windows, Linux (including a Flatpak), iOS, Android and Windows Phone, with browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Edge. The homepage also shows App Store and Microsoft Store rating badges. The footer shows a "We accept" block, but its payment logos carry no readable names. One help article says the service can be paid for anonymously with Bitcoin.

What the site says about logs, audits and the company

The provider states it follows "a strict zero-log policy" and does not store browsing activity, and the homepage adds "No, we do not spy on our users." A help article goes further, saying browsing history, IP address and downloads "will not leave traces". Those are the provider's claims. The site does not name an independent audit of its logging policy. The footer links a privacy policy, an end user agreement, a fair use policy and a DMCA policy.

On ownership, the footer on every page reads "KeepSolid Inc." with a street address at 347 5th Ave, Suite 1402-419, New York. The site does not say where the company is incorporated or whether that address is a head office or a mailing address. The about page names the leadership team: Vasyl Ivanov as founder and CEO, who it says co-founded KeepSolid in 2013, Vasyl Diakonov as CTO, and Oleg Bocharnikov as CFO and co-founder. It also mentions that the company registered a trademark for VPN Unlimited.

The company's own timeline adds some context on scale. It says it had 230 servers in 44 regions and 2.5 million downloads by 2015, reached 25 million customers around 2020, and the homepage now claims "60M+ users". It also says it worked with StackSocial from 2014 and with FlashRouters on routers with the VPN built in. These are the company's own figures, and the site does not say how it counts users.

Protocols, servers and the streaming pitch

The homepage advertises 6 VPN protocols. The help pages describe IKEv2, OpenVPN, WireGuard, L2TP/IPSec and TLS, plus KeepSolid Wise, the company's own protocol. KeepSolid Wise is built on OpenVPN over TCP, UDP and TLS and is meant to make VPN traffic look like ordinary HTTPS on networks that block VPNs, such as schools, workplaces or hotels. The server locations page says OpenVPN is used on Android and Windows and IKEv2 on macOS and iOS. OpenVPN uses AES 256-bit encryption; IKEv2 offers AES up to 256-bit, Camellia 256-bit and ChaCha20Poly1305. WireGuard is listed as available on Android, Windows, iOS and macOS.

The network is given as "3000+ high-speed servers across 80+ locations", and the page says the current list lives in the app. The app offers a server workload view, an Optimal server choice, a ping test and a favorites list. There is a form for suggesting a new country.

For streaming, the server page says the app offers "10 highly secure servers to unblock the most popular video streaming websites" in a separate Streaming servers tab. The help menu has guides for Max, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, ESPN+, Disney Plus, Channel 4, Amazon Prime Video, RaiPlay and others. Those are how-to articles, and the site does not publish a dated list of services it says currently work. For torrenting, the app marks certain servers for torrents, and the help menu has torrent guides for each platform. Other extras listed include a kill switch, trusted network whitelisting, DNS and WebRTC leak tests, a SOCKS5 proxy, two-factor authentication, the DNS Firewall and "Smart Routing Algorithms". Setup guides also cover Apple TV, Amazon Fire, SteamOS, Roku, Google Chromecast, Kodi, routers and NAS drives, and there is a Telegram bot.

Plans, trial and device limits

The homepage does not show a plan table. Its headline price line is "Start Today for only $0.17/day", with no plan length or billing basis attached, so it cannot be read as a monthly or yearly figure. Personal Server, Personal IP, family and team plans are each shown as "Only from $0.5/user", again without a term. The site links a separate pricing page and none of these pages states a renewal price.

Other terms are clearer. The about page says one subscription covers up to 5 devices by default, with extra devices sold as an add-on, and the homepage offers an "Upgrade to unlimited devices" option. A help page promises a "7-day free trial with a 30-day money-back guarantee", and the homepage repeats the 30-day guarantee. The footer links a refund policy and a fair use policy. There is also a VPN Unlimited Lifetime plan, which the about page calls "the most cost-efficient way to get VPN Unlimited forever with a one-time payment", though its price is not given.

Support is listed as 24/7, and one help page says "real people will answer your questions, not AI." The homepage shows a Trustpilot score of 4.7 based on 456 reviews and a 4.8 App Store score. A rewards program lets users earn KS Coins, the company's crypto token, inside the app.

What the site leaves open, and who it suits

The biggest gap is pricing. A per-day figure without a term is not a price a buyer can compare, and the homepage does not say what a month, a year or the Lifetime plan costs, or what a plan renews at. The logging claim stands on the provider's word, since no independent audit is named. The site gives a New York address for KeepSolid Inc. but does not say where the company is incorporated. The app's streaming group is 10 servers, and the site does not date the list of services those servers are meant to reach.

VPN Unlimited suits people who want one account across many devices, including TVs, streaming sticks and routers, and who like having a trial before paying. The long history, the Lifetime option and the MonoDefense bundle will appeal to anyone who wants a single vendor for several privacy tools. KeepSolid Wise suits people on networks that block VPNs. Readers who need published prices up front, or an audit behind the zero-log claim, will find less to go on.
