VPNs for iPhone and iPad
Apple limits what a VPN app can do on iOS, so providers differ more on an iPhone than on a laptop, and a feature listed for the desktop app may be missing from the phone. Weigh whether the iOS app offers WireGuard or the provider's own fast protocol, whether it has a kill switch and automatic connection on untrusted Wi-Fi, whether it runs on iPad and Apple TV as well, and whether the provider publishes an App Store link rather than a vague device icon. Check the device limit too, since a phone, a tablet and a laptop use up a small allowance quickly.
